Hi,
Market lost the day gains, but our picks have move nicely, except few. Nice Move by ElectroSteel, ALPS showing strength as well.

Announcing Nuclear Soft as failed call(Breached the stoploss few days back, I did not notice that).

Nuclear Soft is really worrying me, I have holding in that. Let me wait for few more days before I exit.However you may exit, if yours stand is ST.

Answer to Query asked in comment of previous post:

Swan Mill is a Hold. You may extend your stand. A land sell is on the card in Kurla (Mumbai) by the Org as per unconfirmed news.

Bhushan Steel is a Hold. ST target revised to 1740.

Someone holding Kic Metaliks , I don't know why, when I already gave a profit booking call long ago after reaching ST target.

Megmani Org you should have booked profit in vicinity of 54 (which would be top, as I posted earlier--search the thread to find my post). Exit at 48 this time.

As the downslide continues, I know that the level of panic is increasing all around.

The silver lining of the day was the smart recovery of the market from 700+ pt downside and closing at a less frightening 19868.11

Now where we see the market from here?

Honestly todays downslide was mainly because of Panic selling, as no substantial negative cue came from domestic front. And as fer as the economical view from international front is concerned, that had not been supportive since last few months at all--so wt the big fuss now?

So, the bottomline is : no need to panic, stay calm, if required extend your holding time.

Now let me take some of the queries asked in the comment section of previous post.

Electrosteel made a smart recovery, it would been a sell call from me if it might have closed below our stoploss level of 80. So stay invested. dont sell now. you will get your buy level soon.

Alps Ind is a far more stronger share, safe to extend stand to MT/LT if you can.

SAIL is a not a share to sell if it take some beating. Its a golden scrip, stay invested.

ADANI is a big thing..hold till Dec 2008 with a stoploss of 850. Sky is the limit of profit.

Now the problem is with ST investors. ST investor are those who like to ride the boat during uptrend and get off quickly with handsome gain. So ST investors (3 months) may not like the way the scrip ALPS and ELECTROSTEEL have performed.

The actual problem is not with these scrips, but with the timing (you can not get it right all the time, unfortunately) . The day we picked those scrip, small cap and mid caps started mass downsliding. When a bit of recovery was seen, Large caps tumbled.

So nothing to blame to these two scrip specially. So you may quit( if you are a ST investor )when those scrips get a little more upside so that selling price comes near your buying price and minimise the loss.

Hi there,
I am really sorry that I have not been able to post since last couple of days. As the disaster continues in stock market, lets start with some positive news to uplift the mood.

Our old calls on Welspun Guj has reached its ST target today. Holder may extend there position till Jan08 end or book profit.

Texmaco also reached its revised ST target.

Now common question is : what should be done in present circumstance. Is the heavy profit booking today alarming? Well....I don't think so.

As far proper time to Book profit is concerned--it should start only after 20th Jan08 to Feb 1st week end. I expect a big crash in this phase. So ST traders must be very careful and think twice about keeping their position open if they can not extend their stands.

As far as my stand is concerned, I already sold of my holding of Texmaco today. I will gradually close all my position by this month end.

MMTC- Book profit even if it goes high on long term. Too risky now.

Hotel Leela.. dont add now. You need to take a Midterm (MT: 6 month ) or Long term (LT: 1 year+) to get a handful profit.

After the recent correction in last week, the stock has gone through some unwinding. One entering this stock at this level must keep in mind that Jai Corp, although is a very promising org, had appreciated a lot before the stock split happened. So anyone entering this stock should take a LT approach. you should not put more than 15% of your equity fund in this stock.

Take a MT to LT stand on this stock. You can add few more in lower price if market corrects in Feb 08 Mid . Immediate selling target should be 95+ atleast. The stock has good potential. I spotted the stock at 26 rs level, and also bought handful but lost patience and sold off. So prolong your holding time to get the benefit.

Ispat at 72 (100)

Sah Petroleum at 25.10 (200)

Core Projects at 277 (50)

Rel Petro at 214 (50)

can u suggest any changes in it?

Mostly Good picks, but some of the purchases were made in little expensive price [e.g- Ispat, Hotel Leela].

You need to take a MT (atleast, good if LT) stand on: Ispat, Hotel leela, Rel Petro, NTPC. No need to panic if market corrects, as those stock will gain there highs soon. Infact you can add few more of the same stock if you get in quite a lower price when market corrects.

Sah Petro is pretty much bottomed out, can add few more if market shows some stability on Monday.

Core Project, keep holding with a stoploss of 375 max. I believe you may see a uptrend by Wednesday latest, if not Monday. You may book profit in this by Jan 08 end--dont be too greedy. result is good , but P/E is terribly high.

Hi Guys,
What a day we had today!!!!!!! I rarely witnessed such landslide in mid and small cap where sensex and Nifty are still not crashing to gr8 level. It was totally unexpected.

The worst hit has been our last two calls: Alps Ind and Elec steel.

I am in pretty upset today, I really feel sorry if someone makes loss on my call.

Electrosteel Castings was more of a momentum call, which is murdered with surgical precision. The momentum is gone as of now, unless the midcap and small cap index does not make a turn around early next week.

Alps Lab I don't expect this one to be spared either where everything is being sold off. But this is a stronger stock compared to previous one. so not much worry here.

Let me answer some of the queries asked in the comment section of the previous post:

@ Sandee:
The reason of midcap crash linked to Rel Power IPO? To free cash by investor to put in IPO? Well I guess thats the only reason every Fund Managers I know are telling. But God only knows what is happening.

regarding Electrosteel:

Let me ask you first what the procedure you feel we are following for all the calls? Ofcourse we have proper criteria to filter a stock which takes care of Fundamentals, Technicals, Momentum Game, Greater fool theory, Support Resistance Break out-- almost everything possible, but unnecessarily all the filter got to be passed. I feel our procedure is doing good--at least the result in All Past Calls and Most Rocking Calls suggest same. So I don't feel like dumping our winning formula.

But I would like to know where from you got that result of Elecsteel (profit and loss). Would you please cross check the same in BSEINDIA's result site and get back to me?

The case of Electrosteel was more of a momentum call. I am quite sure that it will reach the target in ST. When market shows a thumbs down to Midcaps and Small caps without any discrimination , it is really tough for our stock with high P/E to hold on. The only worry for me is that recent downslide may push the stock beyond stoploss on Friday (and so closing the call with a 'failed' rating in the call history book) and later bouncing back and actually reaching target. Let us see.

@ Shrirang: As far as your query on Compact Disk is concerned, I shall say that I expected a LC today when I saw the murderous scene at 3-00 pm. You may place a sell call at level of 114 early tomorrow if you are panicked. I am holding.

@ Hari: yes you can exit Nucleus if you can not wait for ST term (3 months).

Hi All,
Today we witnessed bloodshed all around in the circuit breaker stocks. Rel Infra, Walchandnagar, Gremach Infra (Old call, we booked profit yesterday only--were lucky enough), STC, Energy Dev all had a tough day.

However the strength shown by Jai corp,Deccan gold is encouraging. Let see what will be the trend tomorrow.

Our yesterdays' call on Compact Disk has done well today. I have been able to enter in discounted price let noon. Anid_007's portfolio is updated.

I dont see any reason to fear this Jan as it is the month of result.

If you have free cash, don't pick stocks blindly. Only buy stocks which are in momentum. Get some profit and offload your scrips by Feb 1st Week if you are ST player.Go for shopping after the expected correction in Feb.

Correct timing and Correct Pick will be the key this first half. We are going to have a very unforgiving market this year provided the high the level of index is retained.

I bought NagarFert 2000 shares @ 88 expecting a breakout to make quick bugs (Greed i put all my money in one script), but it came down now making a loss 10000+ now and i'm afraid of losing capital (Fear)(I already lost 40%) of my investment. Can you guide me to what to do in next few days.

Keeping all the eggs in one basket is always a big problem. You should have diversified your fund. The Fert Bond is expected to issued before budget--a possible positive trigger, but if you dont get a good sell level before before Feb 08 Mid then it could be in Big mess as I am expecting a crash in Feb Mid.

Get out if you get any new high by Jan 08 end.

1. Megmani Org appears to be a great multi-bagger call by my team. I gave the call on Traderji sometime in Nov07 for ST that is for 3 months at level of 32 I guess. Now its 46.1 returning more than 40%. I will suggest to extend your stand with a stop loss of 40. look for a level of 54.

2. The call on ABG shipyard and Dish TV is still valid and should reach the target predicted by us in that 'All past call' link.

All IT stocks are down. Thats why it is also in downslide. The Stock is good at your buy level and Bollinger Bands suggests a sharp change in recent price level, most possibly in positive direction. Keep a stoploss of 205 and look for a target of 270-295 in ST.

Hi All,

I felt that I should post a message to end the rumor if Anid has stopped giving calls or something else is on.

Well First of Let us start with some positive news:

Spentex Ind which is one of our recent stock under discussion, has achieved ST target of 48, closing at 49.70 hitting a 20% UC.

Holders may book profit, or continue holding with a stoploss of 43 for few more UCs in near term.

I am not giving any call since last couple of days, as we have planned to restrict the number of weekly calls to 2 , to increase the hit ratio. As so many calls are being opened, some check was required.

Hit ratio (The calls for which we achieved target / total open call ) was going down because of so many daily calls and my team is offended. So I wanted to restrict the open calls.

These 2 calls will be published any of the weekdays.

Most of my calls are ST calls and those are supposed to achieve target in any time from day 1 to 3 months.

Current Hit Ratio : (10-1)/25 = 0.36 as on 28-Dec-2007

Oldest calls : on 27-Nov-2007

So nearest expiry date 28-Feb-2007 is (ST = 3 months) for that oldest call.

A call is termed as Failed Call if it can not reach the target within 3 months of call date or if we are forced to give a premature exit call.

we achieved 36% successful closure in 1st month only(Much more if we count the calls on Traderji ) and 2 more months to go for ST targets.

So eventually we must end up in terms of 85-90%+ level or could be more.

Since most of the stocks we discussed are achieving their target, I believe that we may not need to restrict 2 calls/week formula for long time, once we get the higher hit ratio.

Ans: The stock appreciated near 60% since call date. It may go higher, a target of 200% is not surprising. when the call was given at 43 Rs per unit, even then it was risky call. Entering at this level is totally investor's choice as this is going to be a High Risk and High Return business.

Ans: I believe you must have got your bonus shares by now. Buying a share just because a split or bonus is going to be announced--is not a full proof investment idea. We generally see that all shares rises after announcement of ex date and reco date, but you must also study the fundamentals of that stock. I believe this is a good scrip and you can keep on holding for at least 6 months -1 year to earn good profit.

Ans: Good Pick but bought at high level. Strong resistance ahead at 40 mark, if it cross 40 and stabilises above that, expect a short term target of 54. MT and LT target can not be given as of now without seeing the result of next quarter.Stoploss of 28 is safe.

Get out of all the stock you bought on ST (short term) and on profit however small it could be.

Even if some stocks are 1-2 % down, you can book nominal loss(We will earn more profit with the freed money--however you can avoid this step if you find the stock too low already at market opening , at that case keep holding--we will anyway reach our ST target within given timeframe).

Hi All,
We could not find many joyous faces in the trading counter today as Market slided on negative even when the expectation was high.

But it is fine. we can see a bullish trend from Wednesday onwards provided Fed rate cut stands up to the expectation.So cheer up.

As far as todays call concerned we have a reached a milestone today once again, as one of our short term call reached ST target on call date itself (on NSE).

Scrip name is Zylog system, call was given at 380-387 range with a ST target of 430 to 460. Although intraday low was 389, the high was 454. If you missed the target, put it on a hold we will see new high very soon.

Deccan Gold is doing great as usual. MT player must be very happy, but don't be too greedy.

The Stock has been listed only a quarter ago. I believe it is in a sector which is on demand, but there are many big giants to compete with. The scrip seems to have strong support at 54-56 belt. The result looks good. Net sales and EPS up. I will suggest you not to panic and have patience. I won't be surprised if it touches 80 mark by Jan08 end and 90-100 by Jun08 end.

I will suggest you to Hold this stock with a stop loss of 50.

Please let me know your view points on ISP IND, My aim is short term investment.

Hold with a stoploss of 70. ST Target 92-98. You can book profit at that level. if you can extend your stand to MT as you told, by June 08 you may have a level of 125-140. Dont forget your stoploss.

Its a buy at every dips below 120 level now. Stoploss 105. ST target is 160-180. Could be a mulibagger. P/E is high. So some risk involved. The company may announce its land sale at kurla. That will be the trigger.Don't forget stoploss.

Appreciate your patience. That's the best habit every investor should have.

You waited for 2 years and now having 400% profit as CMP is 48. The stock was having strong resistance at level of 40. Now it has got a good break.May go little more higher before heading down, as profit booking will start at level of 50 from so many investors like you who are waiting at lower level.

The Fundamental of this stock tells that scrip has witnessed a turn around in Profit from negatives .

You are lucky that your investment has been fruitful, but you could have invested in some other stock instead of waiting for this 2 years. Many stocks appreciated more than this scrip.

I don't care if it goes to 50 or 80, but I will suggest a sell on this scrip asap, unless you are having some insider info. My call is Book Profit.

I believe you expected some stock disclosures from me today. In fact my team also forwarded their research to scan and select the final stocks. But I could not publish those as I had some emergency issues to tackle in my office early morning and I had to leave for office early.

UNITECH touched 445 today, our first ST target was 440 and this stock was discussed just on 3rd Nov at 383 level.

DECCAN GOLD: closed at 52.70 Stock discussed on 3rd Nov at a buy level of 43.
22% rise in just 4 days.

By the way I have got out of Jindal Steel yesterday as I told and Today I will try to sell out Nagarjuna Fert in some good price and enter some of stocks belonging to my new suggestions.

Someone (I believe Sam123) asked if the old calls are valid on next date. Well the target given are for 3 months(ST). So unless those shares reached their target or I have given a exit call, those old calls are valid on later date also, except if those stock already gained a bit-- your profit will be less. So before entering any old call, see:

1. I have already given an exit call (avoid buying in that case)

2. If the stock has reached target already in past and again down-slided (avoid buying in that case)

3. If the stock is almost near its target (again avoid)

You should have told your buying price. I believe a target of 2500-3800 is achievable latest by May08. If you can hold , I will suggest to hold it for 1 year atleast.

RPL is a buy whenever you get below 200 if get again at all. It is hold till 2009 Dec.

RIIL is closely related to Jai Corp. Hold at least till May08. Latest News on SEZs approval will have a sure shot positive impact. RIIL & Jai Corp is making 50% of your portfolio. You have taken lots of risk. If you have entered Jai Corp in 1k Level then you are safe with the stock.

But in future it is not advisable to hold more than 30% of networth in Risky Bets.

Let us start the Discussion. Today I would like to take a defensive approach. Market will remain very volatile today and if timing is right we can make lots of money.

Rajesh Export: It may be a good Buy at CMP 905.20 or below 920. Target 1ooo in ST and 1200 in MT. No LT stand suggested at this moment. Risk: Medium. I would like to keep a stoploss of 850. Let me know about your opinion.

IFCI: If you like momentum game watch out for this stock. CMP 106.80. If someone can enter at this level or below 109 , I believe a ST target of 125-132 is achivable. Stoploss could be 82. Risk: High

May it is good to Book Profit on Texmaco: There may be good upside in this stock today.

Although I suggested a buy at 1400 with a ST target of 2500, I will try to sell out at 1870 level (if it reaches today). The reason is it is better to move to Midcap and smallcap space now.If someone prefer to hold it for 3 months instead of selling now, even that is a good decision.

JHS Svendgaard crosses 60 mark about to reach target of 64. Stock was discussed by Anid_007 on 30-Nov2007 at buy level of 52. If it reaches 64 we will have 25% profit in less then 1 week. BTW whoever don't want to sell now, can continue holding with a stoploss of 55. Keep increasing your stoploss as the stock advances .

Deccan Gold again on 5% upper circuit. 10% profit is just 2 days.

Jindal Steel I am getting out of this stock at level of 14850 to free fund and buy new scrip. I discussed this scrip at 11k level approx. I personally hold 2 of them at 11200. With this my profit crossed 1 Lakh.

Nagarjuna Fert : is also making steady progress.

Chennai Petro Has been really doing well. I discussed this stock at the level of 385 on 29-Nov-2007 if you remember. CMP is 433. So far Day high is 439. Reminding you about my ST target on this 460-475.

Some profit booking is on Market. Texmaco is not matching our expectation. But I believe by Dec End it will be different picture altogether.IFCI is under F&O Ban after 95% limit reached.Expect Stock to blast off once its out of that.

Watch Midday Multimedia, looks like they opening few more radio stations. Stock making new high everyday.

Stock To Discuss- 03-Dec-2007

Lets start,

I want to highlight some stocks for todays discussion.

The first one is Punj LLoyd (once again)at CMP 509.35. I believe it may be good pick at CMP or below 512, with a stoploss of 450. ST target could be 580-620.

I feel Unitech 382.80 is a good one to get in, specially if you can get it in lower price when market corrects. ST target could be 440-480

I also feel its safe enter Reliance Energy below 1710 (cmp 1738.10 so buy on dips), I expect a level of 2100 at ST. The stock has a tough resistance at 1850-1900 level. If it can breach the level, it will shoot up.

Another stock is from mining sector, is Deccan Glod at CMP 43.45, it a good buy at CMP. If we analyse the cuurent boom in mining sector and scarcity of Gold Mines in India and uprising demand on Gold in national and international leve, it could well be a stock with huge return. It could be very High Risk scrip, as it was in upper circuit for long time and now started hitting LCs or negatives. So let us watch this stock. The timing of entering should be good.
